We live in a simulation - and in this recording I explain why thats almost certainly the case. This moment in history is incredibly special, and for that reason the odds that we do not live in the Matrix are almost zero. Listen to by detailed (non-technical) explanation - it will delight or terrify you - depending on who you really are...,

If reality is a simulation, our physics is a mathematical model approximating base reality. But base reality might be ontologically primitive -it just is, with no mathematical underpinning. So if non-mathematical principles can generate a reality like ours, that would suggest our equations are the simulation’s rendering layer, not the foundation - evidence we’re simulated rather than in base reality.

We might be able to prove we likely live in a simulation. If our reality a mathematical model of a more fundamental reality - if we are in a computer simulation of base-reality using such a model - then we might be able to detect this - by finding principles by which we can approximate our reality without mathematics. This would show that reality as we know it doesn’t need to be mathematical - but the fact that it is tells us we are in a simulation

If we live in a simulation does that mean we reenter the Matrix when we die? Or do we just return to the reality the Matrix was built upon?

Is our simulated reality simply a playground for bored future humans?
What is the purpose of the computer simulation we are living in? Could it be to provide meaning to future humans living sanitised, controlled and truly boring lives in the future. Schopenhauer’s Pendulum might give us the answers…

If future humans end up living in a post-scarcity AI provided utopia, would they create an ancestor simulation so they can live life with struggle and meaning - and could this virtual reality be that simulation?

The first show I ever watched that was about being in a computer simulation was the twilight zone episode ‘dreams for sale’ from 1985 - if you can get it you should watch it.

Is Dark Matter the place where our simulators run the Matrix? Is gravity a by-product of our simulations error correcting codes? This is proposed by Joshua Hartman in his paper "The Quantum Error Correction Simulation Hypothesis".

Can we discover the boundary between the simulation and base reality? and if we can - what would we do about it?...
If our reality is a computer simulation, then there must be a point at which the simulation ends and base-reality emerges beyond that. If base reality is infinitely deep - fractals all the way down - then it will be impossible to simulate it completely, and there will need to be a point at which the simulation ends. That makes perfect sense if we consider the quantum world as that boundary. Our simulators could have devised a mathematical model that approximates their reality at the macro level - so if you entered that Matrix it would feel like reality - but at the microscopic level, we have this hard-limit at the quantum realm. If this is true, then the answer to whether or not we live in a simulation exists at that level of our reality - and maybe while we’re studying that boundary we find out exactly how to hack the Matrix…

If we found out we were really living in a simulation, how would society adjust?

Are the pyramids 'debug anchors' used by our simuilators to track code updates in our Matrix? A paper by Professor Augusto Bartolomeu called 'Quantum Physics as Evidence for Multi‑Simulations' suggests that there may be multiple instances of our Matrix running different version of the code - so we can optimise for efficiency - and as such they could use structures like the pyramids as a physical anchor points for debugging their code changes...

We live in the Matrix, which is a computer generated reality - which means I’m a simulation…. but the question is…. am I me….. or a replica of a real person who died long long ago….
If we live in an ancestor simulation then am I a replica of someone who lived and died a long time ago? - but maybe the bigger question is, am I living ‘my’ life or am I mimicking everything ‘they’ did way back then……

I purchased and tried to read Melvin’s book - it’s a very challenging read but his conclusions about our reality make it clear that the universe is simulated
Our most accurate physical model, quantum field theory, perfectly mirrors how a civilization would optimize a computational simulation. As physicist Melvin Vopson argues, the fundamental efficiencies we observe in nature match the exact shortcuts and data-optimization techniques required to run a digital reality. @Rizstanford   @Institute_IPI  Full episode on Dan Go Thoughts on YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=bwJjvgVY…

Base reality has unbreakable rules as described in physics… BUT… we don’t live in base reality, we live in a simulation of base reality, so those rules aren’t rules of nature for us but rules embedded in the source code of the simulation - which means if we ever get to know that code, we might be able to break those rules - so things like time travel and ‘faster than light’ speeds might be possible if we can find the right cheat codes…

I wonder if this is linked to the DMT experiences of @GolerDanny where altered conscious allows you to actually see the code that exists at the lowest level of our simulation…
Top physicist has found actual computer code inside the equations that describe the lowest level of our reality - evidence that we live in the MATRIX…

If we witnessed time travel, could that prove we live in a simulation? Professor Marcus Arvan wrote a paper - "Real Time, Simulated Time and Two Types of Time Travel" where he argues that time travel in base reality is impossible, whereas time travel in a simulation is easy - it depends on how the code is written. So if we witness any evidence of travellors from the future, then we must be living in the Matrix
