GUARDRAILS OF FAITH: QUR'AN AND SUNNAH WARNINGS
Day 35: Consuming Pork
Pork is explicitly forbidden in Islam.
“He has only forbidden you dead animals, blood, and the flesh of swine.”
(Qur'an, 2: 173).
Hadith (Ṣaḥīḥ al‑Bukhārī, no. 5539; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, no. 1936):
“Allah and His Messenger have forbidden the sale of wine, dead animals, swine, and idols.”
(Bukhari, 5539; Muslim, 1936).
Consuming pork is a clear violation of divine command.
