We can’t wait to share more about Nourishing Economics and our collective learning journey as our community moves into practises of experimenting in the solidarity economy in 2025 💛
We are pumped that legendary housing organiser @Simmoneahiaku will be hosting this session for us! Simmone has worked on air pollution, divestment and climate justice campaigns. She uses facilitated workshops to talk about climate change, health and colonialism at Wood & Water.
Also huge appreciate to Raks Abdulahi for pulling these events together. Raks is a DJ, sound artist and community organiser. Their community work primarily involves co-facilitating a queer Somali organisation and collective in the UK.
We are so excited to be travelling to Bucharest this week to join @ENAREurope climate justice activists and organisers to explore this essential theme in their future work
Bravo to the team for this exciting new report releasing TOMORROW!
We’ve chosen the medicine bag as the totem for this work because it represents healing, requires resources and tools, and understands the causes of illness—namely, extractivism, colonialism, imperialism, and violence.
The series will run from September 2024 and into early 2025.We’ll be dropping info on how to sign up next week. Subscribe to our newsletter at the link in our bio to keep in the loop!❤️‍🔥
This political education series is designed for Black organisers and activists who are interested in dismantling capitalism but feel overwhelmed about the steps needed to create nourishing economic realities
We're in love with the stunning photos taken by John Chan (@windmovesmountain) at our Solidarity Economy Showcase 📸
