If Uniswap and OP Stack are plugging into the AggLayer, I’m about to lose my mind. 🤯 Unified, interoperable liquidity with retained chain governance? Peak alpha. The future of DeFi is so smooth it should come with a warning label. 🌉 BRB, diving into an ice bath before I start drafting sonnets to the AggLayer. 🥶🥵😂 #DeFi #AggLayer @AggLayer @0xPolygon

I AM ABOUT TO SWAP INTO THE MOST ABUNDANT BALANCED AND SUCCESSFUL POOL OF MY LIFE. I NATURALLY ATTRACT LIQUIDITY AND I AM ACCESSIBLE ACROSS MANY NETWORKS. I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION TO SWAP AND I HAVE THE POWER TO BUILD THE LIFE THAT I DESIRE.

Insights about the AggLayer from the presentation by Marc Boiron (CEO of Polygon Labs): The post contains my interpretation of his answers to questions, not verbatim quotes. Who will aggregate the aggregators? Currently, there is no clear player planning to aggregate the entire Web3 ecosystem. Moreover, there are no restrictions on connecting chains from other ecosystems. We will soon see integrations with OP Chain, Elastic Chain, and Orbit Chain from Arbitrum. The AggLayer operates at a very low level and doesn’t compete with other “clusters,” which positions it as the potential Aggregator of Aggregators. What’s the difference between The AggLayer and CCIP (Chainlink)? CCIP is more focused on message transfer rather than asset movement, operating within the current bridge infrastructure for message exchange. The AggLayer is considering adding bridge standards, which would enhance its security. Additionally, future integration with CCIP is likely, as CCIP is not seen as a competitor. Where and how will AggLayer be deployed? Who are the participants? The AggLayer will go live in production within 3–4 weeks, initially in a centralized way. Using ZK technology, it’s possible to launch a centralized system in a trustless manner as an initial phase. However, decentralization is part of the roadmap, and significant progress has already been made toward this goal. In general, all Web3 services eventually become decentralized over time. Will Optimistic Rollups be connected to AggLayer? Two answers: 1. All Optimistic Rollups will eventually transition to ZK Rollups 😁 2. AggLayer’s technology enables proof not only for fraud proofs but also for centralized sequencers (proof of consensus) using pessimistic proofs. As a result, Optimistic Rollups can and will connect to AggLayer. What happens to existing assets on L2 that use native bridges? Will they all need to migrate? There are two scenarios: ideal and non-ideal. Chains with existing assets can already connect without migration. However, over time, chains will likely start issuing assets or migrating them directly to AggLayer’s unified bridge for the best user experience. A prime example is the upcoming migration of Polygon POS assets—6,500 assets will be migrated, which is a massive volume! Author’s note: The ticker is $POL.

Some bigger accounts on X are pure attention seekers. You can discover them easily due to their extreme statements. I recently saw accounts calling for 10-20k These people should be banned from this platform for mass deception

PolyGoons, The AggLayer cannot be categorised as an L1 or L2, it’s a “MetaLayer”. IMO there two big MetaLayers coming up on Ethereum, which can’t be categorised as L1 or L2 1. EigenLayer 2. AggLayer Many more brewing up like @alignedlayer @nebrazkp and so on. All these MetaLayers and L2s will play crucial role in creating the Internet scale blockchain network. Like, I am not talking about 10k tps or 50k tps or 100k tps, I am talking about 1 Billion tps and more.

This is face-melting performance $0.002-$0.003 proof generation per mainnet block With expected 30x-50x reductions coming over the next year Absolutely bonkers. We’re gonna have zk everything by default
Releasing the Type-1 upgrade to the zkEVM prover, the next generation of Polygon’s proving tech. It can generate proofs for any EVM chain—sidechain, optimistic rollup, even Ethereum itself. When proving Ethereum mainnet blocks, avg per-transaction costs are $0.002 - $0.003. Developed with @Toposware, the Type 1 is open source and available today. Together with the AggLayer, the Type 1 prover will allow EVM chains to upgrade to ZK and access the shared state, liquidity, and user-base of the Polygon ecosystem. What makes it a Type 1? Ethereum equivalence. The Type 1 prover preserves all of Ethereum’s execution logic. In practice, this means that any EVM chain can become a ZK Layer 2, without having to fork or make modifications. The Type 1 zkEVM prover will be another config available to projects building with Polygon CDK, the modular toolkit for spinning up ZK L2s. All chains building with the modular toolkit can leverage the Type 1 to connect to the AggLayer, while taking advantage of lower costs, lower latency, and better UX. Projects like @Immutable zkEVM, @MantaNetwork, and @CantoPublic are planning to do exactly this. There are more performance optimizations and a Type 2 mode coming. Right now, the Type 1 can prove existing Ethereum blocks at an average per-tx cost of $0.002 to $0.003. With Plonky3 and additional zkEVM improvements, there will be a 30 to 50X reduction in cost over the next year. Read on for use cases and in-depth performance benchmarks: go.polygon.technology/3Ox3Ob…

The landmark ETF approvals this week are “stepping stones toward tokenization,” BlackRock CEO Larry Fink said Friday on CNBC. Institutions have already been building these stepping stones on Polygon networks. Just last week, leading funds Brevan Howard and Hamilton Lane are partnering with @librecap, who used Polygon CDK to launch Libre, a dedicated RWA chain within the Polygon ecosystem for certain investors and asset managers to access tokenized investment funds. Last year, in January 2023, @Hamilton_Lane chose to leverage @Securitize’s tokenization platform on Polygon PoS, offering investors tokenized exposure to the first ever private credit fund fully onchain. Soon after in April, @FTI_US became the first US-registered mutual fund to tokenize its OnChain U.S. Government Money Market Fund (FOBXX) on Polygon PoS. In November 2022, with Project Guardian, JPMorgan, and Singapore's DBS Bank chose Polygon PoS as the network for tokenizing Singapore government securities, the Singapore dollar and Yen. Tokenization on public blockchains is no longer a theoretical possibility or a proof of concept. It’s live, on mainnet, with real institutional adoption. And Polygon PoS serves as a preferred entry point of choice for institutions, integrating web3 with the TradFi world.💜
