After rewatching the game in its entirety I can see very clearly now that Astier had been cooking the dream all game and hit a halfcourt shot too. So in a fit of rage, when Reese eventually got her 1on1, Reese wanted to inflict pain on Astier. That’s why she stuck her elbow out.
