One takeaway from the 🇩🇪Berlin Air Show: small drones are no longer a niche capability.
Alongside fighters, transport aircraft, and future combat air systems, discussions repeatedly focused on FPVs, loitering munitions, autonomous systems, and low-cost mass. From air defense to ISR and strike missions, lessons from Ukraine were visible across multiple programs and exhibits.
Future airpower will not be shaped by advanced aircraft alone. It will also depend on the ability to field, adapt, and scale large numbers of autonomous systems.
