Building ads infrastructure made me realize just how complicated people make ads to be.
It really doesn't need to be that way. And I'm excited to announce the launch of Whop Ads today. Our mission is to deliver businesses extremely powerful advertising tools that feel simple and joyful to use.
Any business owner can launch ads on Meta through Whop today, with more platforms coming soon. Stay tuned for more updates as we build

Remember when software used to come bundled with games and hidden easter eggs?
Even my TV in 2010 came with games.
Somewhere along the way humans lost this expectation for joy in interfaces.

Seems like the default back then was software was built so thoroughly and so well, that developers even had time to sprinkle in their own fun twist into it.
Nowadays it feels like a lot of products have been over-optimized for getting users from point A to point B, with very little consideration for the amount of joy experienced in their journey there.

I’m betting that we see a comeback of this soon. Especially now that AI has commoditized building software.
Instead of using AI to produce larger amounts of slop, let’s use it to build higher quality, polished and fun software.
We just need builders that care. ❤️
