#ApacheKafka and #ApacheIceberg have become de-facto storage platforms for Data In Motion(Streaming) and Data at Rest(Batch/Lakehouse), respectively. We are seeing unification in the storage layer with projects like @confluentinc's TableFlow, @redpandadata's Iceberg Topics and @streamnativeio's Ursa. With our #Fusion platform, DeltaStream unifies the compute layer where you can build streaming pipelines powered by #ApacheFlink and run analytics workloads on your #Iceberg data powered by #ApacheSpark! You will have one platform for all your streaming and batch analytics workload and as a bonus you also have Real-Time OLAP capabilities powered by #Clickhouse all in one unified platform with no infrastructure to manage! Try it today at deltastream.io #ApacheIceberg #ApacheKafka #ApacheFlink #ApacheSpark #Clickhouse

So excited to start off Q2 with this major announcement! 🎉 🎉 Mixing modern and legacy with COBOL and streaming. Learn more about COBOL Streamhouse 👇
The time has come. I’ve been teasing this for the last month, but now I can finally announce it. As you might know, my early days were as a COBOL programmer, and I was very good at it. Approximately 60% to 70% of the world's business transactions are processed in COBOL. I’ve been watching attempts to convert COBOL to another language since Y2K, and I realized this was the wrong way to go. The real answer was to bring the modern data stack to the legacy world. To that end, with the support of @DeltaStreamInc , we are announcing COBOL Streamhouse. A native implementation of Apache Kafka and Apache Iceberg in the COBOL Language. Links to details and the GitHub are in the comments.
