Only 2 weeks away until The Red Carpet is rolled out for The Best of The Best in North Jersey athletics and The Student-Athletes get to enjoy a night they will always remember. A great example of what high school sports is all about. A Terrific night at The Fiesta for The Bergen County Boys All County Dinner. Congratulations to Northern Valley Boys Track and Field Athlete Brendan Alec on being selected First Team All County. He Captured his 2nd State Meet of Champion Gold Medal this School Year. He Struck Gold in The Triple Jump in The Indoor Season. Then He Struck Gold in The Long Jump in The Spring season. He set The School Record This School Year in both the triple jump and high jump with marks of 49‘2“ and 6‘8“. Throw in a long jump of 24‘5“. The crazy part is all 3 of his jumps in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump are the best jumps in Bergen County this Spring Track and Field Season, but as a default, you can only be First Team All County in one event, which is even more mind-boggling. He has already left his mark and legacy as one of the greatest track and field athletes to not only come out of Demarest high school but all of North Jersey. They are both Juniors who led their team to The North Group 2 State Championship this past season. Check out NV/Demarest’s Brendan Alef Highlighting The State Meet of Champions. Brendan had a remarkable season and he is only a junior. At the north one group two state sectional championship He not only won the state sectional championship in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump, but he broke the meet Record in all three. He has already captured 2 State Meet of Champion Gold Medals this school year. He broke the school record in The High Jump and Triple Jump this school year. He’s already one of the most decorated track and field athletes to ever come out of Demarest high school. It’s Going to be a special night for North Jersey Student-Athletes to not only have the red carpet rolled out for them during the 2026 North Jersey Sports award show but they get to meet not only an NBA star in Dominick Barlow but one of the best people you’ll ever meet in life. Dumont High School Graduate Class of 2021. It was an absolute pleasure getting to watch Dominick not only grow as a player, but as a person during his time at Dumont high school.
