Thanks to my friend @bimal_joy 's book reading today at Ferreira House in Khotachiwadi,Girgaon, I got to see a lovely part of #Mumbai that I had never explored before. #FerreiraHouse is a heritage bungalow now run as a B&B in a sweet little lane which was once dominated by East Indian Christian community. The houses in this urban village are mostly built in Portuguese style.
Actor @DenzilLSmith thoroughly entertained us by reading select passages from Joy's book- Ramblings of a Bandra Boy.The book is an absolute page-turner coz Joy is an excellent raconteur who has been entertaining his FB friends and fans like yours truly for years now. Do pick up a copy on @amazonIN.
Joy has a terrific eye for beauty and has also been taking up select sarees for upscaling over the last few years(usually heritage pieces or heirlooms). Some of his latest creations are on display&sale at the first floor gallery of Ferreira House 😍

The proposed installation of 35 commercial LED boards/ hoardings sanctioned by @mybmc @mybmcWardHW @mahamaritime1 on Carter Road Promenade Bandra West will destroy the very character of this iconic 1.2 km public space built by citizens, for citizens.
Our promenade is not for commercialisation. It is a public, environmental and recreational asset that must be protected.
We continue to oppose this move and stand with residents to safeguard our Carter Road Promenade.
A petition opposing the same started and supported by concerned citizens...
