Elegant analysis of the mechanism underpinning WRN dependency in MSI tumours and great to see the field moving forward so rapidly. congratulations to the team involved.
Online at @nature: "Repeat expansions confer WRN dependence in microsatellite-unstable cancers" by @nussenza and colleagues. Interesting mechanistic insights into microsatellite instability and the vulnerabilities it confers to #cancer cells nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

The GDSC website (cancerrxgene.org/) has been upgraded with two new features to enhance your analysis. GDSC hosts differential drug sensitivity data across 1,000 human cancer cell lines for hundreds of anti-cancer drugs, together with genomic biomarkers of drug sensitivity.

CELLector is useful new tool that mines clinical data to define molecular sub-types and then maps these onto in vitro cancer models. This can help you find the right cell model for your work. Congratulation to @HannaNajgebauer @Francesco_i0ri0 and team. Part of @DepMapSanger

We'll be showcasing some of the different ways we're using #depmap data for drug discovery. @Garnettlab
Please come along if you're interested to learn how we're using functional genomics data - including CRISPR screens - to inform multiple aspects of drug discovery including target discovery and drug mechanism of action.

This is important work to track and prevent further transmission of #COVID19. It leverages world-class capabilities for DNA sequencing and analysis built up over decades. Thanks to the dedicated team @sangerinstitute and across the UK making this possible.
In response to the ongoing #COVID19 pandemic, we will deploy our large-scale genome sequencing platform, alongside regional sequencing centres, to better understand the coronavirus outbreak in the UK bit.ly/2J7XFQC
