Deposit compliance for property owners & managers varies State by State. In Massachusetts for example - a landlord can request first and last month's rent and a security deposit in the amount no greater than one month's rent - no other fees can be charged, including Pet Deposits.

And in MA - the last month’s rent must be kept in a separate interest bearing account, in the same way as the security deposit. That’s where Deposify comes in !
