WTAF IS HAPPENING IN N.Y.? The New York state legislature recently passed Senate Bill S9316 that replaces the terms "mother" and "father" with "gestating parent" and "non-gestating parent" in family court and other state laws. ​The bill now sits on Governor Kathy Hochul's desk for either her signature or veto.

San Diego County plans to allocate $13.4 million MORE in taxpayer funds to provide lawyers for illegal immigrants in their deportation proceedings. These dollars will not go toward repairing roads, hiring additional cops, expanding mental health services, or addressing homelessness and drug use. Instead, they will fund legal representation to contest deportations. According to the County’s own annual report on the Immigrant Rights Legal Defense Program, dozens of clients in the program have ties to criminal activity. Taxpayers are effectively subsidizing efforts to keep CRIMINALS in the country. The program began as a $5 million pilot in 2022. It has already cost more than $10 million, and current projections call for nearly tripling the annual commitment amid rising demand. County budgets should prioritize essential services for LEGAL residents and taxpayers who fund the system — not create a legal defense fund for those who entered or remained in the country in violation of federal immigration law.

Almost 60% of Californians voted for this in 2018. This is the closest it's ever come to passing. Daylight Savings Time gives us more daylight in the evening, so we would stay on "summer time" all year long. But there is big opposition from the Sleep Medicine community who prefer the extra daylight be in the morning, especially for the cold northern states.

A new ballot initiative has been filed to repeal our state's top-two primary and return it to a party-based primary where voters like you can only vote for candidates in your own registered party. It will not affect this year's election, but dems want to assure another election like THIS one never happens again. The proponent is @stevenmaviglio, a longtime Democratic strategist and former communications director for Governor Gray Davis. The proposal would restore a party-based primary system, where voters can only vote for candidates from their own registered party, and each party would nominate its own candidate for the general election. For most of the last 15 years, the top-two system has generally benefited Democrats because California is a heavily Democratic state. But in 2026, with a wide-open governor’s race and many Democrats splitting the vote, there’s real concern that two Republicans could advance to November — shutting Democrats out entirely. That’s what triggered Maviglio’s initiative to repeal it. If they can't win legitimately, they just change the fvcking rules.

When this nation was founded, we had a Constitution and Bill of Rights specifically designed to protect our individual rights. Those documents don’t say one freaking word about taxing the American people into oblivion! No mention of income tax at all—because back then, the government had zero right to steal your hard-earned money. The only time we saw anything close was a temporary 1% during the Civil War. Temporary! Not this never-ending nightmare we’re trapped in today. But fast forward to now and liberal states are straight-up confiscating over 50% of your income if you don’t have enough loopholes. They call it “taxes,” but let’s be real—this is theft disguised as policy. And what the hell do we get in return for all this money they’re sucking out of us? Jack shit! The federal government rakes in around $5 trillion a year but blows through $7 trillion—saddling us with a disgusting $2 trillion deficit every single year like it’s no big deal. Our national debt is a monstrous $40 trillion—forty trillion! It’s so insane it’s almost impossible to comprehend. We’re selling bonds, borrowing like addicts just to pay the bills, and drowning in interest payments. This vicious cycle is completely unsustainable and they just keep digging the hole deeper. Don’t even get me started on housing. The government, greedy corporations, and giants like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have completely hijacked the market. They’ve rigged it to artificially jack up prices so high that regular working families can’t even dream of owning a home anymore. Meanwhile, massive institutional investors are buying up entire neighborhoods, renting them back to us at sky-high rates, and laughing all the way to the bank. Over 50% of household income going to housing in many states? That’s not bad choices—that’s a rigged, corrupt system screwing us over! This isn’t capitalism. It’s a blatant Ponzi scheme! When it all crashed in 2008, who got bailed out? The big banks and corporations—with our taxpayer dollars! And as if that wasn’t enough to piss anyone off, energy prices are exploding because these same clowns are shoving AI and tech down our throats—technologies that guzzle massive amounts of power and threaten to wipe out millions of jobs. We’re subsidizing our own replacement while electricity bills crush American families. Immigration is pouring gasoline on the fire. Millions of illegal immigrants are flooding in, taking up housing, healthcare, and services—driving up costs for everyone through basic supply and demand. Working Americans are subsidizing it all while rent, utilities, and basics skyrocket. Meanwhile, everything the government is supposed to manage is collapsing: Social Security and Medicare are headed straight for the cliff, our infrastructure is crumbling, and healthcare costs are insane. But sure, let’s just keep raising taxes and borrowing more money like addicts in denial. Our so-called government has turned into a greedy machine that steals from us, strips away our freedoms, and gives back next to nothing. This entire system is broken beyond repair. Government and big business are in bed together—buying politicians, rigging markets, inflating everything—and leaving regular Americans to rot in debt, dependence, and despair. We’re working our asses off, paying more than ever, and getting screwed harder every year. They’ve turned us into modern-day slaves to an out-of-control machine that doesn’t give a damn about us. This is unjust. This is corrupt. This is theft of our liberty, our prosperity, and our future. It’s time to wake the hell up! It’s time for real change. Humboldt County discovered nearly 600 uncounted and sealed mail-in ballots Monday that had been cast in the November special election regarding the state’s redistricting. Staff at the Humboldt County Office of Elections discovered the ballots inside a locked ballot drop box nearly five months after the election was certified, according to a statement from the department released Wednesday. dlvr.it/TSRYXQ
