A new landmark report reveals the true scale and impact of the region’s music sector, providing the most comprehensive analysis ever undertaken of Liverpool City Region’s music economy.
The findings show:

🎶 £406 million direct GVA
🎶 14,000 people working across the sector
🎶 More than 7,200 full-time equivalent roles
🎶 Publishing and licensing employment nearly seven times the UK average
🎶 A thriving live music ecosystem supported by 500 venues
The report highlights Liverpool City Region’s unique strengths in live music, technical production and music rights, while identifying opportunities to support talent, drive innovation and unlock further growth.
Funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority through its music industry development pilot, the report was commissioned by Liverpool City Council and builds on five years of sector development led by the Liverpool City Region Music Board. 👉
