Reading all these old Exponent posts again is actually crazy in hindsight.
'We’re not just rewarding builders, we’re backing them.'
‘Long-term support.’
‘Funding opportunities.’
‘Priority support.’
‘More activity → more value for holders.’
Meanwhile months later, many builders are publicly saying they received around half of the promised value after long delays, while several extra initiatives quietly disappeared.
This is exactly why trust in Linea collapsed so hard.
The saddest part?
A lot of builders genuinely believed in the vision and gave everything to grow the ecosystem.
More and more Exponent participants are finally speaking publicly.
This was never just ‘FUD’. Builders and communities genuinely felt ignored, misled, and exhausted.
The trust damage on Linea is deeper than people think.
