Question for artists: when you listen to beats from a producer, is there a certain structure you listen for, hook, verse, etc.? Do you prefer to hear the beat mastered?
Why I make music: I love how it makes me feel, an inexplicable joy takes over when it hits my ears. To be able to speak through music gives my heartbeat a voice, something I will cherish for the rest of my life. It doesn’t have to be popular, but to exist. open.spotify.com/artist/3Zg9…
Do you need a signed LP of the legendary No One Can Do It Better from @WESTCOASTDOC? Make a minimum $50 donation to doccares.org and you can have one too! Alt cover and back, color vinyl (colors vary)… a must for rap fans and collectors! Donate today, help the kids!!!
I was listening to Erick Sermon talk about going directly to consumers when you have a name (was talking to Fat Joe/Jadakiss)… big picture: 1 stream pays $0.003. If you got one listener to buy your song for $1, that’s the equivalent of 333 streams… 🤔 Storefronts over streams!
For all those that create music, let the reason you chose to do it guide you through this muck of an industry. Keep your craft and your fans close to the vest, the rest is just white noise. Hate is real but never a deterrent, shine bright and blind those in disbelief. #UR1of1
