Last Saturday, I attended two events. The first was the DevCongress May Meetup by @DevCongress at MEST Africa. After that, I headed over to the Cursor Build Night Accra by @CursorGhana at Accra Innovation Center, where I had the opportunity to demo my app, QuizRank, live!

Spent an amazing weekend volunteering at @DevCongress & @CursorGhana! 🇬🇭 Got to share some tech knowledge, mentor community members, and connect with brilliant minds. Grateful for the platform and opportunity! 🙏☺️ #CursorBuildNightAccra

This weekend took me right back 13 years. Back then I was a young entrepreneur convinced we could change the world. @drew_brns, Jesse, joel and I won a hackathon with an idea we believed in and then watched it stall. Not because the idea was wrong, but because we weren't prepared for what it takes to build at scale. We didn't have the tools, the guidance, or the backing to get there. That memory has stayed with me. And it's a big part of why the work we're doing at @oldmutual_gh matters to me personally. We're trying to rewrite that narrative for the next generation of builders giving them the tools, the support, and the room to take a good idea all the way. My engagement with the @DevCongress community this weekend confirmed we're on the right path. The talent and energy in that room was unreal. Here are my thoughts on what we're doing, and what we'll keep doing

i’m not here to promote dev:congress but i might as well just…. The SYSTEM DESIGN session is one EVERY DEV NEEDS to sit through. engineers solving problems. there can be many solutions to a problem but there’s always going to be a trade off. you people know book waa.
