Buying an enterprise grade PDU for my homelab was a very useful learning experience. I learned all about 30 amp circuits and that most houses have almost entirely 15 amp circuits! #homelab #DevOps #networking #dang #haveAnExtraPDU

An app stealing focus once during startup is infuriating. Teams just stole focus five times during (accidental) startup. Unacceptable. #Microsoft #softwaregore #design #devops

The non-tech people in our group are sometimes overwhelmed by the tech side but I don't get it. It's simple. Just use IPMI over UDP to talk to the BMC and update the BIOS. Then just PXEboot into ESXi and create your VMs. Done. #DevOps #homelab #networking #VMware #acronyms

Even working with them constantly, at the end of the day computers still feel like magic. If tomorrow all motherboards cost $1MM, I would probably still think, "yeah, seems about right." #DevOps #programming

#DevOps is many things. Sometimes it is: querying for old jobs in the prod db, cleaning them out, then re-running the query but forgetting it has a filter on it, and having a brief heart attack thinking jobs.count(): 0 is all jobs.

I know it makes me a normie but I am impressed with the price to performance ratio of E-yoosoo keyboards. #DevOps #mechnicalkeyboard

I hate to brag but one time in a meeting I made a pun involving btrfs ("butter fs") and our principal data center architect was super impressed that I had heard of it. #DevOps #programminghumor
