Interesting tips (and a good use for any spare, untreated bits of sheep fleece you have). Discovered the remains of a nest during winter that was full of baler twine :-(
Have you noticed some bumblebee pollen baskets are different colours? 🧡💛❤
This has nothing to do with the bee species. Different plants have different coloured pollen! Pollen baskets can appear grey, white, orange & red depending on which flowers the bee has recently visited.
We loved hearing from @DCPoliceRural_D last night (and they even put in a good word for @DCPoliceRural_C!). So much useful advice, and several members have said how reassuring they found it. Very clear how much the officers care about supporting all the rural community too.
Great to meet with everyone on @DevSmallholders zoom meeting and introduce them to our team. Some positive #engagement around the #RuralCrime concerns that affects them. We are pleased to be able to offer support & advice to these #smallholders 🐏🐄🐐🐖
The Rural Affairs team at @DC_Police aims to increase rural communities' confidence in policing by working in partnership, preventative initiatives and community engagement, so we hope it will be a really useful and reassuring evening for our members.
