A close friend told me this story last month and I still can’t stop thinking about it. She received a message from a number she hadn’t seen in 8 years. Her heart stopped when she read it. ‘I need to tell you something before it’s too late.’ What happened next left her and me speechless.

My talking stage is a Muslim, and from day one he said he has no problem with me being a Christian. This morning, he came to pick me up and took me to church. I’m curious… is this a green flag or a red flag? 🤔

Dear Nigerians, this one is important. The price of cooking gas keeps rising and the government is doing nothing meaningful about it. Many households can no longer afford to refill their cylinders and some people are now bathing with cold water just to survive. If your body doesn't handle cold water well, here is a simple hack that costs you nothing. - Fill a bucket or basin with water and leave it outside when the sun is out. By afternoon or evening, that water will be warm enough to bathe comfortably. It sounds basic but it can protect you from cold-related sickness while we continue to hold this government accountable. Our health comes first. Don't sacrifice it because of their failure. Above all, love God.

He passed away two weeks later. She went to the funeral. Standing at his grave, she realized sometimes the person who hurt you most was fighting a battle you never knew about. My friend told me forgiveness didn't erase the pain, but it freed her.

I wept more than her when she was telling me everything, stop carrying resentment for people you really don't know what is happening in their life, check up on them 😩

My neighbour, a known womaniser, got married last month. Two weeks later, his wife's shouting became our morning alarm. "Who is Efe?" "Did you send her money?" "Why aren't you wearing your wedding ring?" One morning she yelled: "Na me and you for this marriage ooh!" The man snapped: "I never wanted to marry you! I only married you because you got pregnant and wouldn't stop crying for me to marry you!"

After my ex-husband and I divorced, we barely spoke unless it was about the children. Years had passed, and I thought we would never be on good terms again. On Friday, our son had an important school event. I arrived early and was surprised to see my ex-husband already there. We exchanged awkward greetings and sat on opposite sides of the hall.
