In July 2022, Professor Dip Kapoor's excellent book proposal on indigenous contestations of capitalism landed in my inbox. I am extremely sorry to say that this was likely Dip's last book, as he sadly passed away last week. An extraordinary scholar, and a kind and generous man.

I'm often asked about the cost of access to research, especially for scholars from the Global South. This is one way that Taylor & Francis is making a meaningful difference. Over 15 years of STAR providing access to research for researchers in resource-constrained countries. 🌟
Taylor & Francis is celebrating 15 years of STAR (Special Terms for Authors and Researchers). This important initiative helps individual unaffiliated researchers in over 100 resource-constrained countries by providing free access to the latest research. newsroom.taylorandfrancisgro…

💡 Join the upcoming #HumanitarianGovernance webinar on the book ‘Depoliticising #HumanitarianAction’. It's important that we reflect on the intended and less-intended consequences of pretending that humanitarian action is not political. 🔗 Register: edu.nl/dbbbt

Tip for #ECR book authors: in your book proposal, lead with 'I/This book argues' rather than 'This book explores'. Lead with an argument, not a topic. Just about every topic under the sun has been 'explored' before, but the ARGUMENT is new. The argument is yours. 📢
