#abstorm @environmentca my farming family folks reported 8 inches (203mm) of rain at their location just north of Magrath at the conclusion of the bulk of the rain. Likely contaminated by some heavier convective precipitation as well - but worth including!

While @nws & @noaa employees jobs are on the line - real-time, life saving #tornado and #flooding information was being relayed to me while I was live on air this morning. These warnings are created by the same people whose jobs are currently in jeopardy. My report here… @cnn

This is a great opportunity for Canada meteorology - hopefully this gives a little boost for atmospheric sciences programs up north! I was sad when the University of Alberta closed their program down. @ECCCWeatherAB canada.ca/en/environment-cli…

The final PDF of "An Update for Predicting Left-Moving Supercell Motion" is available (doi.org/10.1175/WAF-D-24-002…). I had much help from my coauthors Matthew Van Den Broeke and John T. Allen (@JTAllen3), along with support from some U. of NE students and 3 excellent peer reviewers.
