This is Carolina before and after Forth Worth police officer Matthew Krueger was done beating the daylights out of her several days ago. Carolina was recording police towing multiple cars and was in the middle of asking two female officers a question. There was no crime scene Carolina was in the middle of or investigation she was interrupting. In fact, no crime had been committed. Krueger came up to Carolina and gave her an unlawful order to record from across the street. Carolina began asking a question when Krueger threw her to the ground so viciously that she lost consciousness. While Carolina lay on the ground making a snoring noise usually associated with a brain injury and while she was unconscious on the ground, Krueger shouted at Carolina over and over to stop resisting. Carolina did not commit a crime but she was a victim of excessive force by Krueger. She suffered a head injury, a dislocated shoulder and elbow, numerous bruises and cuts to her face and stitches. If you so choose to redress your grievances with the Forth Worth Texas Police Department (@fortworthpd) to let them know that exercising one’s First Amendment rights is not a crime and that Krueger’s use of force is unacceptable, please do so in a respectful manner.
