I get this sort of comment all the time, often about bespoke suits or mechanical watches. "These things are boring," "This is only for rich people," or "Who cares?" Let me tell you a story. 🧵

Motorists break the law to save time, cyclists break the law to save their life. Anyone who uses a bicycle for transportation understands this is true.

To put this into context, since 2016, 30 people have been killed in collisions involving cyclists. In that time over 17,000 have been killed in collisions involving drivers. I don't have a problem with the new law, but let's not think this will reduce deaths on our roads.

Analysis of the English local elections by Sir John Curtice: “support for Reform averaged 43% in wards where more than half of adults have few, if any, educational qualifications. In contrast, it polled just 19% where more than two in five have a degree.”

Women with endometriosis certainly have been failed for too long, and continue to be failed
Back after time off, as I recovered from #endometriosis surgery. It’ll help but won’t remove all the pain as no one quite knows what causes endo. Sharing to raise awareness - yesterday in parliament a minister said: “women with endometriosis have been failed for far too long”.

Delighted to join @stephenctimms and other ambassadors for a welcome update. Partnership between govt, disabled people’s organisations and business by industry has to be the only way for us to make progress on structural inclusion. Thanks to @DWPgovuk and @cabinetofficeuk hosting
We’re making sure disabled people are at the heart of everything we do. That's why Minister for Social Security and Disability, @stephenctimms, joined the Disability and Access Ambassadors to hear how they are championing accessibility and disabled customers.

My max grid is only 32 and water to the west will impede my progress but tile hunting has reconnected me to why I ride and run - to see new places. I also love the long line exploits like Hadrian’s wall give on my map even if not connected to my square or cluster (yet)
My piece on @VeloViewer explorer tiles is now up on @bikeradar, what are you waiting for? bikeradar.com/features/route…

ADHD feels like you’re never doing what you’re “supposed” to be doing—so no matter how productive you are, it feels like not enough.

Any #mywoosh users? I loaded it today on my iPad, it says there is an update, and now it is just staying on this screen. No progress indicator, nothing to click and available time to get my workout in counting down
