Once upon a time in MID September…
Excitement of MidEvils mint was brewing, from day one I wanted in because of the artists behind it…
@sircandyapple and
@jonnydegods…
I had followed their work through DeGods, y00ts, and then Infinite Fun with Gwins and many other projects, so when MidEvils came around it was one of the first NFT projects in a long time that I truly felt conviction in.
I got my presale through Mickey DeGods walkin , Primates, and Rogues, and I aped in because something about this project felt different. I started my Mid journey with 10 MIDs, this might seem MID to others but that was big for me after the endless rugs, trenches and a major drain.
What kept me here wasn’t just the art it was the creativity, experimentation, and the community forming. It didn’t take long before the Discord started feeling like a daily check-in to the locker room banter.
Then came the events:
Ghostar burns for physical figurines…
A limited burn merch drop…
Then a Graveyard system was implemented where burned NFTs became soulbound tokens instead of disappearing forever while still keeping your roles and collection count alive…
ORC WARS! This is where you sent two MIDs on a quest to battle an Orc, the new character being added to the collection. Even though you had a chance at survival 75% of the time you would lose creating one of the coolest deflationary mechanics I’ve seen in NFTs…
Limited number of Signed print to burn a MID but having to own a mythic trait…
And most recently, PrimEvils free mint…
This one really showed what made MidEvils different. The community actually helped shape the collection through votes on characters and traits throughout the entire creation. You had to have your MIDs training in the gym (staking) to participate and then that earned access to mint a PrimEvil for free. This created an epic FAFO moment because after minting there was a daily burn of PrimEvils with only a 5% chance of survival, creating FOMO to burn two MIDs to save your PrimEvil if you minted that grail or play your luck. An interesting aspect to this mint is that you got to see the art first and then make the decision if you wanted to commit to saving it. Another crazy mechanic that introduced fresh art while making the collection more deflationary at the same time.
Every few weeks there’s something new to speculate on, create around, or participate in. MidEvils never felt stagnant…
Then there’s the BST channel, pure degeneracy in the best way possible. It brought back those old-school NFT trading vibes that made this space fun in the first place.
But honestly, this project pushed me creatively too. I started making lore posts, content, and experimenting with ideas I never would’ve touched before. I even used Claude to build a website for a DAO to have fun with Memes, Comics, sales bot and info on the project to help others find out why being MID is okay.
That all came from this silly little NFT project…
MidEvils reminded me that NFTs are supposed to be FUN. Not just charts and floors but art, creativity, community, memes, risk, collecting, and building weird things with your friends online…
The art is Mid
The vibes are Mid
Life in the Midlands is Mid
And somehow that’s exactly why it works…
Q2 2026 roadmap attached for your viewing pleasure, this is the 3rd we have had and the first 2 have been delivered on in a MID way.
Come catch a townhall or hope in discord it’s time to get MID…
Excited to see what
@infinitefunn cooks up next..
stay MID⚔️
