I'm not very happy with workers change on SC2. Back when LotV was in beta the jump to 12 workers low mineral count made the game fast, and that was a refreshing experience compared to the pace set in HotS.

Now with this reduction in the workers count you slow the pace by a noticeable margin (a scrub like me noticed it while first trying vs bots!), and on top of that, you have more minerals per base. It feels like we are back to the "Hunk down and do 2/3 bases all-ins" era.

I do have to play a bit more, find more exploitative tactics to use in the early game and fine tune the timings to keep the pressure on, but I have a gut feeling that not even that will be enough.
But it is just a feeling, it needs more testing and actual game time.
