One of the biggest lessons from recent Florida hurricanes is that damage doesn’t have to happen directly to your building to impact operations.
During Hurricane Milton, major Florida ports and transportation hubs experienced disruptions, creating delays in fuel, freight, and deliveries across the state. Florida's fuel supply is particularly vulnerable because much of it arrives by ship through key ports.
Tip: Identify at least 2 backup suppliers for critical materials, equipment, and inventory before a disaster happens.
