We now have a Discord server with a custom bot that automatically posts about new stuff that was added to the Discord client like new text, experiments and soon even more: discord.gg/mqjwhDemBt
We will still post about bigger things on this Twitter account as before though.

Friend request notes are rolling out, here's an updated look at how they work on desktop!
Also, if you don't want to see the notes people are adding to their friend requests, you can opt-out of seeing them via your User Settings!
Discord is adding a new system that will let you add notes to friend requests.
This will allow you to let someone know why you'd like to add them as a friend.
The note is only shared with the person you're sending the friend request to.

Discord is working on even more new Badges!
The Account Age Badge will reflect for how many years you've been using Discord, maxing out at 10 Years.
The Streaming Badge will presumably level up based on the amount of time you've spent streaming in voice channels.
We've discovered what we believe to be new levelling Profile Badges that Discord is working on which represent your game activity.
The Game Diversity Badge and the Game Depth Badge.

Here's an updated look for Announcement Web Pages in verified servers which allow for announcement channels to be exposed as web pages.
Discord is building public web pages for announcements from verified servers.
Whilst these new pages are still in a very early development stage, no account will be needed to view them, and they'll likely be indexed by search engines, similar to Server Web Pages.
