A tremendous loss for the entire state of New York. I feel so lucky to have worked with such a giant and leader in the redistricting world. May his memory be a blessing
Very sad news. John was a good man, passionate about his work, a true expert in redistricting, and someone who I enjoyed working with on the 2022 @DistrictingNYC. He was key to all the work we did & decisions we made together. He will be missed.
Huge loss for the people of NYS and especially for those of us who had the honor of working with him. A true pioneer on many fronts. He will be missed.
John, among many, many accomplishments, was New York's redistricting leader and a champion of minority voting rights -- and he will be greatly missed. Our condolences and thoughts are with John's family and loved ones during this time.
