Do I have any freemium mobile dev friends who have found the secret to monetising Indian users? We have crazy high DL / DAU from them but ridiculously low IAP / Ad revenue compared to other countries.

Waiting for the announcement that Godot founders are really lizard people funnelling your cash into puppy killing factories to really nail the game engine trifecta this month.
I predict Unity will waive the install fee for mobile F2P devs as long as they are using the Unity advertising platform giving Unity a huge monopoly on mobile game advertising. Considering the Unity/Ironsource merger it would track. 😬💀

I’m learning Japanese and have an online lesson with a teacher each Saturday that I record and re-watch during the next week. It’s very useful…. If I can get over how super cringy it is to watch myself get things terribly wrong and ummm and ahhing myself through a lesson 😩😭
Wasted hours this week bug fixing, tweaking and generally just hacking a feature into our game because I was convinced it would take waaaay longer to do it properly. I finally broke today, deleted it all and did it properly….. took me 15 mins. 😭🤪
Every Aussie Indie game-dev I know hates working on licensed titles with a passion….. every single one of them would have gleefully worked on a Bluey game, myself included.

The Firemonkeys layoffs (very sad) got me thinking… Is there an Aussie studio still going successfully after being bought out by an American company? I can’t think of any, all have been either gutted or shutdown completely within years of being acquired. 😭
