Picture this. An investor from the U.S. buys an abandoned building in Puerto Rico for $108k. Holds it for 7 years untouched and lists it for $360k.
In the meantime, locals illegally enter and use it to cook for ppl after the hurricane.
The “squatters” get to keep the building.

Over the last month folks have been asking me if there are grief support groups for Black men who have lost their wives during childbirth. 😞
I haven’t found any, and our team is at capacity, but I hope someone applies to our most recent grants to do this. We need it badly.

On this day in 1944, the #GIBill was signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It helped millions of WWII vets start new lives back home.
But systemic racism & segregation meant that Black veterans did not benefit equally. This caused setbacks for generations to come.
