The CFL playoff changes and announcement -was/is an absolute failure. Anyone trying to defend it or rationalize it. Isn’t doing so in good faith (or is clueless). As far as the change itself: I love the idea of trying to create revenue, but not at the expense of sacrificing the purity of competition. 8/9 teams making the playoffs is unacceptable in a professional sports league. And although seeding matters, it heavily devalues the regular season. The CFL is a league that struggles with its public perception in certain provinces, this is going to continue those perceptions and perhaps make them even worse now. As for the announcement of it: On draft day? You gotta be kidding me. A day that should be celebrated by the football community across the country is instead overshadowed by this announcement. Coupled with the fact that the website crashed, so no one really understood what was happening in the later rounds, created a devastating effect. The CFL draft, if executed properly, could organically grow and eventually be a huge asset in helping build the leagues brand and changing its perception. Instead the polar opposite occurred. Final thoughts: Where is all the outrage from the players/coaches that were so outspoken about the incoming rule changes at? I guess a couple extra guaranteed bucks and they will gladly endorse American ideology. ‘Don’t build the best product, build the one that pays the fastest’ … doesn’t get much more American than that!

I can't imagine this MP is getting re-elected. Honestly I'm not pro liberal or pro conservative but this floor crossing activity is rather disappointing. Shady way to get a majority govt that wasn't elected.
It’d be a real shame if this went super viral. Share it and share it often.

Such a tough day for the pearl-clutchers in the CFL ecosystem who are resistant to change. All their dog whistling about three downs disappearing soon, and the essence of the Canadian game vanishing, all effectively fizzled today. The pièce de résistance would be if Mike O'Shea willingly leaves for Toronto, which not long ago voted for four downs.

I understand why players, coaches etc might be upset they weren’t consulted. But as sure as the sun will come up tomorrow the result of that would be status quo. And Stewart Johnston was hired and told status quo is not an option. #CFL
Check out Nathan Rourke’s angry reaction to the CFL changes. He called them garbage, says a lot of the uniqueness of the Cdn game is gone, special teams play is minimized and he questions the analytics that were used. Also upset that coaches & players weren’t consulted.

Dear fans of the CFL. 7 of the 9 teams last year lost money. This seems to be the norm going back a number of years now. This obviously is not a sustainable model. Tip of the cap to the league for taking steps in trying to make the league more popular. 🏈🇨🇦

I’ve said what I believed to be the truth about the team.. & a bunch of “Colts fans” on the internet were trying to get me booed out of the city.. Current players, who have won nothing during their entire tenures, started using me and my face to try and paint me as the enemy in the city I’ve committed my life to. And in the end… everything went.. just like I fucking said it would In the biggest moments everybody with a brain knew they’d crack.. and they did. A blind person could see the red flags on this team.. Work ethic questions, NEVER happens on good teams.. Preparation commitment questions, NEVER happens on good teams.. Late to meetings, NEVER happens on good teams.. Late to/skipping treatment, NEVER happens on good teams.. The franchise QB tapped out of a game.. on 3rd down.. in the red zone.. because he was tired… NEVER HAPPENED in the history of the NFL. That’s literally the only thing you need to tell someone (who knows ball) and they could tell you everything about this team… “Hey the franchise quarterback, who’s a professional athlete getting paid millions of dollars, and the face of a multi billion dollar franchise tapped out of the game because… because… because he was tired in the middle of the season” “Oh wow.. that team has no chance” would be the immediate response.. And to the surprise of nobody.. that was the response by everybody who’s ever played/coached the game before but.. Colts blogs and fans who have been covering the Colts since 2020 and more recent knew better than everybody… Started personally attacking me and trying to kick me out of town. When I said Joe Flacco gives us a better chance to win than AR immediately after the tap out.. I would’ve said whatever backup QB we had on the roster. That can’t be what the face of your team is doing.. just can’t be.. and to a bigger aspect of it all, somehow AR thought it was ok to do that. That’s a locker room issue.. that’s a culture issue.. thats an indicator of a loser attitude radiating thru a building that was built by greats. I have no idea how they fix it.. I don’t think it’s like a light switch. “Alright, we’re gonna become Pros now” but… maybe it is, but what do I know? Oh wait….. how this was all gonna work out. I knew that. As a multiple year season ticket holder (not renewing).. and someone who has actively, daily, attempted to be an additive to this beautiful city. I hope they become a good franchise again.. this city deserves it.. the OGs in the Colts building deserve it (equipment managers, trainers, ticketing, PR, sales).. and on the flip side the players/coaches in that building deserve whatever happens to them. Your unwarranted arrogance, laziness, and lack of professionalism has lead you to ANOTHER early vacation… which is probably what most of you entitled bums have been hoping for. I don’t speak for the city.. and I don’t speak for all ex Colts players because I was only a punter.. nominated for the HOF 3 times now but nonetheless.. I speak from my own perspective.. I’ve never seen a group waste opportunities/talent/money more than this group. Cheers… #ForTheShoe #LahdHahse #ForTheBrand #Pittsburghese
I hope @PatMcAfeeShow does not hold back on the state of the @Colts tomorrow on the show! 🔵⚪️
