Think it's kinda silly to think otherwise. Of course Rory had an advantage. She left public school because her grandparents paid for Chilton. They then also paid for her to go to Yale which opened up many more doors for her. Yes Rory worked hard, but obviously had an advantage.

"The 40% of the country who believe they represent 70% of the country" is a great way to describe centrists.

When talking about his strategy for CBS News, David Ellison has said on at least 3 occasions that they're targeting "the 70% of the country that kind of would define themselves as center-left to center-right."
But that number doesn't line up with public polling. YouGov says the number (Center-left, Center, Center-Right) is actually 40%, Pew says 41%, and Gallup says it's 45%.
A Paramount Skydance spokesperson said they stand by the stat but did not provide a survey backing it up.

As an aside, I knew John Adams very well and this would have been a death sentence when he was Coordinator of Men’s Basketball Officiating. I doubt very much has changed.

🙄 No, Star Trek was about society’s social issues of the 1960’s. Those issues over the years may have become political issues but with the network censors: they never would have allowed political issue storylines to air.
