Does antibiotic prophylaxis favor multi-resistant bacteria in cirrhosis ? If so, should we stop giving prophylaxis after a SBP episode ?
This paper in @Nature shows that widespread prophylaxis with Rifaximin can lead to total resistance to antibiotics !
