Congratulations to @CiccaroneCenter @hopkinsheart Postdoctoral Fellow @AllisonWPeng & @OslerResidency alumnus & Duke Fellow @aarti693! @SethShayMartin @DoctorMarvelMD
Congratulations to Drs. @AllisonWPeng and @aarti693 on receiving NewAmsterdam Pharma's Young Researcher Award (YRA) —a program supporting early-career investigators advancing innovative research in lipid biology, cardiovascular disease, and related metabolic conditions. Dr. Peng is a cardiovascular disease fellow at the Johns Hopkins @CiccaroneCenter whose research focuses on cardiovascular prevention and imaging, applying AI and large datasets to improve risk assessment and early detection of ASCVD. She earned her engineering degree from Columbia University and completed her internal medicine residency at Stanford, bringing a strong data-driven perspective to preventive cardiology. Dr. Thakkar is a cardiovascular disease fellow at @dukemedicine whose research focuses on improving disparities in lipid management. She completed her residency at Johns Hopkins and plans to pursue a career in general and preventive cardiology and cardiovascular imaging. We look forward to following their contributions as they help shape the future of cardiovascular and metabolic disease research.  Learn more about our Young Researcher Award program: bit.ly/45Vdh4K

LDL cholesterol, the “bad” cholesterol, can cause fatty buildup in the arteries. High LDL can raise the risk of heart attack or stroke, but often has no symptoms. A simple blood test can tell you your LDL number. Proudly sponsored by @amgen
