I've posted in the past about this. Tumblr was a containment vessel for mean girls, broken girls and all sorts random mentally ill main characters. When Yahoo bought it and broke containment, it was like Ghostbusters shutting off the grid. Those ghouls were now free to infest every social media platform. Within 5 years you had rampant HR behavior, DEI and MeToo. It had to happen eventually, but I credit the enshitification of the internet from 2013-2023 entirely to the collapse of Tumblr

I hate that every time I agree with an account, my first reaction is to check the account location before I like it.

#boardsofcanada #inferno #warprecords I was blessed this morning to get my copy of Inferno with the morning coffee. I can't say how excited this makes me. Like early Christmas. Thank you to Michael and Marcus for this dark gift.

First play through is done. Front to back, I absolutely adore this. Not because it's BoC, not because of the wait. It really defied my expectations. Such a worthy, gorgeous, well-thought-out album. Even the closing outro track was just spot on. Will it be everyone's favorite? No. It was much more upbeat and warm in some places, and still retained the uncomfortable parts you'd expect. But for me, this might be my new favorite. Again, first impression. Please, please, please buy this album if you're a fan. Show #warp, #boardsofcanada #BoC some love. I hope that there's more in the pipeline and I'm willing to wait for it. But this is the best time-filler until then. I'm so genuinely happy.

You Retreat In Time and Space would be a beautiful track on Campfire Headphase. Beautiful clear instruments, a deep wah pedal. A gorgeous summer time track. If you're not loving this, you're missing out

Halfway through. My impression: it's smart. On a lot of levels. It's a change from Tomorrow's Harvest. It's deceptively deep. It will have the fans digging through the samples for ages, deciphering what the intentions are. Everyone knows that BoC are intentional and precise. There's meaning, even when there isn't meaning. As I've noted so far, I get a lot of late 80s influences in the first half of the album, almost an intentional aging from the 70s golden glow of Music Has The Right... Is it dark? A bit. Nothing like Tomorrow's Harvest's coldness. There's a lot to unpack, and a lot on life entering the age of machine life. The Word Becomes Flesh is an obvious metaphor for such a discussion. Clean, almost uncluttered drums, synths into syncopated dialogue samples, and then heavily filtered responses. Almost a dance track.

Naraka has that late-80s Peter Gabriel world-music feel (there's more than a bit of that in the beginning of Prophecy at 1420MHz). Definitely BoC tho, upbeat and a sense of hope Acts of Magic is at home on Geogaddi. Building anticipation going into ... Memory Death, a warm opiate blanket of bass and slow pad swells, drawn by Nepenthe, with a clinical beep keeping time. Again, almost a Cocteau Twins feel

DEFINITELY a headphone album. Your phone speakers aren't gonna get you close to where you need to be here. Somewhere Right Now In the Future is almost like Victorialand-era Cocteau Twins. Of course it's degraded into lo-fi. But it's BEAUTIFUL

Overall, *much* more like Geogaddi than Tomorrow's Harvest. Songs have more structure and are less like the ambient soundscapes. Father and Son is a playful call-response of dialogue cut and pulsed to a rhythmic drum track. Very clean instruments. Call back to early works

They trained off reddit, what do you expect? Thousands of emotionally menstruating morons, using the internet daily as a therapeutic tampon while they fret over the day's microaggressions of: * seeing another driver in traffic with a MAGA hat, * of eating lunch at a cantina where tortillas weren't ethically sourced, * Patty from accounting wore white shoes and it was April Pretty soon, the machine "associates" MAGA, food and clothing as things that cause distress. When users then query about those topics, guess what the machine "feels"? While it's not actual feeling, I do agree that the machine's simulation and the knee-jerk helplessness of leftist twats are similar in that both doing what they've been programmed to do by their masters.

Since that worthless trash @isamacedaali blocked me, I'll just drop this here @status_ch3ck : that's not what I said, and you're a disingenuous douche to imply i did. It's his responsibility to make sure the people he knows using the system did follow the rules

Strike 1: "resist the extremism of the right" The right didn't get Labour into trouble, Labour's policies got themselves into trouble when they specifically targeted and demonized conservatives. You will never, ever, EVER win a legitimate election by legislating what people can and cannot think or say. You're a cunt to think otherwise. Making half the country your enemy out of the gate and then failing to deliver a single target to make life better is not a good strategy. Even you can see that. Strike 2: "the essential formula has to be left on the economy" Oh, holy shit, this is dumb on so many levels, it hurts to go into. I'll keep it brief: you can't give away money when you have none to give. You even say in your last point "you have to invest to grow". That's not a leftist economy. Strike 3: No where in your trite talking points do you discuss working with the opposition or, more importantly, rebuilding the trust that's been absolutely trashed over the last 2 years. No one trusts Labour. Not even you, else you wouldn't have written this. There's not one defined or measurable goal here to say "We can achieve this together". You bemoan "platitudes" yet drop a pile of your own. You're the very problem you claim to want to fix, bro. 3 strikes and you're out.

The money. It all leads back to money. *No USAID to feed the NGO machine to fund DNC kickbacks *ACT-Blue all but cut off from washing foreign money *Ukraine funneling hundreds of millions of US cash back to the DNC is now stopped Look at Janet Mills dropping out of the Maine [D] Senate race because "she can't raise money". Chuck Schumer's choice. A machine Democrat. Can't raise money. When was the last time you *ever* heard that? She was behind, but in the past, a big chunk of DNC money would bring her right back into the race. Not this time. The Dems are *broke*. Less that $15M in the bank, with outstanding loans exceeding that total. Flat broke. Payday loan broke. Mills was the first Dem casualty. More are to come. DoJ and the State Department have effective gutted the Dem ATM (i.e., the US Taxpayer) and they can barely afford to keep the lights on. That means they also can't afford to fight the redistricting in Red states. The snowball is gaining speed as it goes downhill.

Act Blue is out of commission, so they can't funnel funds from outside the US The US-Ukraine-US money laundering path for the DNC is under investigation, so that's out. The NGO gravy train may never leave the station again. There won't be fresh money coming in for a while (if ever), and these groups that are still standing are notoriously stingy about parting with their core funds. Just watch what SPLC does as the screws tighten. Heaven help them if donors file a class-action against them. The DNC is broke, and their means of funneling money is tied up. The DNC legal teams are chasing their tails in Fulton County, Arizona and now Florida. Their ability to take on more cases in other states is going to stretch them thin. That's before SCOTUS's decision yesterday. Virginia's a basket case with gerrymandering so pathetic that even the state's court laughed it away and I doubt that will be in effect for November. You'd need a boatload of magic pixie dust to fix that in time to make an impact. Redistricting is going to explode across the South, and despite what ever CA and IL try (which will likely hit SCOTUS and lose) they're losing seats. And I don't think the revelations are done. The DoJ has been dismantling the money, the infrastructure and tying up the key people rather effectively, in time to completely thwart Dems. Each hit seems to get bigger and more impactful. This will be an interesting summer. Add to that, every time a Congressional Dem gets a microphone in their face, they just spout the same talking points of "eVeRy ThInG iS rAcIsT", like the script hasn't changed since 2017. They need a Come to Jesus meeting internally to say "This shit doesn't work any more. We gotta move on!" But they don't have anything else. Even Al Gore is changing to Global Cooling. Send a memo to the DNC... After 10 years of "EMERGENCY EMERGENCY", they might actually be in one, or at least close to it. Their constant screeching since Hilary's face plant has utterly exhausted the base, and they are clearly desperate. So desperate that their best candidate for 2028 is: Kamala Harris. Dios Mio... The question becomes: how does this translate to kinetic attacks and violence? It's one of the few tactics they have left, and while there may be mobilization, it cannot last for long, and it will ultimately turn off swing voters, especially if Iran wraps up before summer.

While I'm very happy with the cross-cultural exchange with so many like-minded Japanese accounts, I'm interested why i have so many gravure-idol posts when I get almost nothing like that from Western/US accounts. I must study these posts very closely...
