I’m 60 pages into “A Confederacy of Dunces” and it is easily the funniest book I’ve ever read. I already get the feeling that it may end up being one of my favorite novels I’ve read so far.

Retarded incels in the comments have an insanely exaggerated view of young women’s sexual activity. The sex recession of Gen Z has hit the women too, albeit slightly less dramatically. Everyone is having less sex.
what the fuck does this even mean? my grandma didn't have 50 bodies by 22 like half of gen z

Since everyone is sharing their favourite American authors, who is the best American philosopher?

Henry Nowak was mortally wounded by a hostile foreigner, held down & arrested by White police because he was accused of racism by his own murderer, where he then bled out & died on the street. This is an allegory for what is happening to European civilization on a global scale.

This take is so played out and simply not true.
Modernity is fundamentally Gnostic, not secular.

Peter Thiel sees what’s coming, we are entering into a new deal era of redistribution based politics. His plan to build a Russian-styled authoritarian kleptocracy has failed. The ‘based’ oligarchs aren’t going to fund your slopulism much longer, they’re leavinggg.
🇺🇲🇦🇷⚡️- Per the NYT, Peter Thiel is planning to relocate to Argentina because he is concerned about the future of the U.S. and is no longer aligned with American leadership.

Clavicular drops a brutal blackpill during a conversation with a Nick Fuentes female fan. 👀 “I don't read books, they're meaningless.” “Most writers are just jesters hiding in a room typing stuff they never lived. Real wisdom comes from observation and life experience, not books”

I appreciate the Guardian list of 100 best books because everyone’s objections to it are providing me with a great reading list.

I haven’t read nearly enough books to feel comfortable making a list of top 10 novels. Perhaps I will never feel comfortable doing so.

Today’s used book haul. Mostly books that I should have already owned. Read 15 pages of the Woolf while waiting for class to start and I’m very excited to keep going. Hopefully they’ll have more of her novels next time I’m there.

A coworker of mine asked me if I had read this after I told her I was a lit major.

Canvas discussion posts will be the death of me. I should’ve just registered for all in-person classes for the summer like I do for every other semester.

The greatest tragedy of the Guardian’s top 100 novels list is not that Beloved is #2, but rather the fact that Journey to the End of the Night is nowhere to be found. I imagine it will never leave my top 10.
