That was quick! Video of my most recent talk at @PyConUK on Python imports, dependency management, and a bit of software supply chain vulnerability management is now up. Feel free to enjoy my ramblings, only slightly running out of time at the end 🤣 bit.ly/3ruamz0

Gosh, reintegration with Europe seems to have got off to a good start. Just spotted Rachel Reeves coming out of this bank in deepest rural Germany.

Really want to see a thread of "AWS regions if they were your partner."

us-east-1 - strong and reliable, but a little cocky, controlling at times, weird trust issues.

eu-west-1 - friendly, nice accent, good with government paperwork, sends elaborately signed love notes to you all over Europe. Just don't ask about their taxes, or be disappointed when they run out of energy 5/10 years in.

How frustrating to hear all these reports of fantastical lights in the sky, everyone flocking to watch them, whilst here I am, bandaged up in the eye hospital. Can't wait for the doctors to come round and take them off tomorrow and for everything to be just fine and normal.

Living in the first three minutes of Threads is really a lot less fun than I imagined...

A lot of theatrics going on today in Parliament. Shouting at the wall here, and v guilty of wishful thinking, but... everyone is just so fed up, please, for the love of God, can we just have a sodding General Election?

Can't get over how enjoyable this is from @bbcpaddy. Pure and simple Radio 4 nerdery at its finest (and, unsurprisingly, given it's Paddy, very self-aware at that). Cannot recommend enough to anyone who listens to R4 a lot! bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001w0…

Particularly good @vittlesmagazine column this weekend. Highly recommend to anyone who doesn't already subscribe.

So @NatWest_Help are filming an ad outside my flat today. Seemingly decimated the day's trade for the local cafes, they've even set up a free food van directly opposite one of them. Still, sure they're proud to say they support local businesses... 🙃

Genuine question... what happens if a General Election is called during a by-election? I'm assuming by-election voided and seat just up in GE as usual, but I've no idea why, or what weird stuff happens as a result.

Nothing like showing this to your colleagues to have them then instantly point out you made a syntax error in a Hello World script on one of the first slides... FFS 🙃 Oh well🤣

In fairness, The Seven Bins would make a great name for a pub. "Just off for a quick pint down the Seven Bins. Want anything from the shop on the way back?"

In fairness, 'High Profile Comedians' could cover half the Tory party over the last couple of years.
