What CBN's 2026 AML mandate actually requires your fintech to build: → Automated transaction monitoring (not manual queues) → Behavioral analysis per user, baselines, deviations, velocity rules → Machine learning models for anomaly detection → Sanctions and PEP list screening automated, not batch → STR filing to NFIU within 24 hours of detection → Full audit trail for every flagged event → Implementation roadmap submitted to CBN by June 10, 2026 Banks: 18-month deadline (September 2027) Fintechs/PSPs/MMOs: 24-month deadline (March 2028) If your compliance system is still a spreadsheet and a Slack channel you're behind. Save this.

A Nigerian healthtech/fintech startup built an app that processes patient medical records plus financial and payment data. They hit 18k users fast and raised decent pre-seed funding. Then NDPC and NCC both came knocking for overlapping violations on data protection, telecom rules, and health data handling. The company is now stuck in audits, facing massive exposure in 2026. Here’s how multiple regulators overlap and why most founders get blindsided:

What I basically did to earn 1m a month, as a child of nobody, who has no connection, or mentor, just my phone, Internet and laptop. 1. Target foreign agencies in whatever niche you're in. 2. Send messages to people in your niche outside your country, your aim is to connect and build relationships not to ask for help, your referral will come in slowly lol you will be shocked. 3. Lower your expectations, and increase your outreach like mad. Why because in sales we send outreach a lot. So you're basically practicing sales in small scale. 4. Be humble, Don't think you have arrived keep learning and learning and learning. 5. Have a back up plan. 6. Post yourself online avoid negative conversation, even when people are laughing at you. 7. Learn how to communicate well and carry yourself. 8. Speak up when you need help. The worst you get is a No.
I'm 35. At this point in my career, I know people earning ₦1m–₦10m monthly remotely and if you ask them what exactly they do all day, the answer is they over see activities. One guy disappears for hours during workdays, goes to the gym, runs errands, attends family events and still gets "great job" from his manager. Another works for a foreign company, travels constantly and seems to spend more time at airports than on Zoom. Then I know brilliant people working 10-hour days, commuting through Lagos traffic and earning a fraction of that. The modern job market is one of the strangest things I've ever seen. The hardest worker is not always the highest paid. Not even close.

If you're in your 40s & your goal is to retire by 50, here's exactly what to do: 1. Start an LLC before the week is over. Not next month. Not after you "research more." This week.

I shared this negotiation strategy in 2023. Sharing again. Two steps: 1. Pretend you didn’t have the full cash. Agree a payment plan of say 6 - 12 months. Negotiate fully and get as much general discount as possible. Seal the payment plan and pay deposit as required. 2. Go back after few days or weeks and say “Oga, you know what? I want to squeeze myself and empty my savings and possibly even borrow from friends to just pay the balance at a go, rather than over 6 -12 months. It’s not convenient but I just want to get this transaction closed. But I will like to request that you knock off N3m from the balance. Not convenient for me, but I may be able to run around and raise the funds within a week” Most sellers will agree with this, having put their mind in receiving the balance in piecemeal over 6-12 months, now they want to give you at once. They may not give you the entire discount amount you asked for, but it works in high value transaction. A friend I taught this negotiation strategy saved N8.5m in a purchase in 2023.

This is only possible if he has; a. 100% shares in 1000 companies that valued at $1trillion each. b. 50% Shares in 1000 companies valued at $2trillion each. c. 20% Shares in 1000 companies valued at $5 trillion each.
UPDATE: Elon Musk needs another $998.7 trillion to become humanity’s first quadrillionaire.

study trigonometry before calculus. otherwise you’re walking into motion blind. • sine/cosine → waves, circles, oscillations • tangent → slope before derivatives • unit circle → angles become coordinates • identities → algebra for rotating systems • vectors → components, force, velocity, fields calculus explains change. trigonometry explains the geometry of that change. without trig, calculus becomes symbol pushing. with trig, you start seeing motion.

The biggest factor is scale. Dangote built businesses that grow with factories, trucks, cement plants, and huge operating costs. Mark built a technology platform that can reach billions of people with far lower marginal costs. One was scaling atoms, the other was scaling bits. The internet simply compounds wealth at a speed traditional industries rarely can.

Barack and I were so honored to have @AkunyiliCrosby create our portrait for the Obama Presidential Center. Her artistic brilliance shines through — and the way she infused such life and joy into the piece is truly extraordinary. We love it, and we think everyone who visits the Center will too!
