Started FastAPI a few months ago. Instead of tutorials, I started building something real. 🙂
LodgeOps; a multi-tenant lodge management system for Nigerian student housing.

Writing payment tests for LodgeOps today using Pytest.
Schema Factories define shape. DB Fixtures handle state.
Mixing them up cost me 30 mins 😭

Switched to API integration tests; my route layer handles HTTP errors, not the service,
makes better sense to me...🥲
AAA in action:
🔧 Arrange —> fake lease ID that doesn't exist
⚡ Act —> hit the endpoint
✅ Assert —> 404 correct error message

I can't tell you how much I benefitted from this exact approach of api's b4 Pandas...
you'd learn sql while building api's and prolly an abstract form of it (sqlalchemy in my case) 😅

it's been a while since I was on @X.
I guess i got too overwhelmed with maintaining a streak that the main reason for the streak became a burden..
Being away had made me connect back to my tech stack at my own pace and enjoy the process.
I like the low stake environment😅😅✌️
