Aliquippa enhanced its reputation as "title town." Consider: The WPIAL basketball title meant Aliquippa won football & basketball titles in the same school year 6 times.
The double championships has happened only 15 other times. And no other school has done it more than once.

Thomas Jefferson in title game for first time since 1988, when Upper St. Clair coach Danny Holzer was 22 & a TJ assistant under Tom Sharkey.
