Today, the government introduced the Putting Student Achievement First Act, 2026, with changes that would reshape governance and learning conditions across Ontario.
Based on our initial review, the OPC believes the bill falls short of its stated focus on accountability and student success. We are reinforcing the importance of principal and vice-principal voice and meaningful consultation.
