Interesting piece from top sports reporter and Town fan @RobStewart_
All the very best to ex-@htafc and @BarnsleyFC star and now @TheBlueWaveFFK coach Dean Gorre as he prepares for today's David-versus-Goliath @FIFAWorldCup clash w/ Germany. Here's a link to my @yorkshirepost interview w/ Dean on the White Rose inspiration. yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/fo…

Understand despite Blackpool’s best efforts to keep Ashley Fletcher, he could not turn down what is an ‘unbelievable’ offer from Huddersfield. Been a top guy to deal with over the last two seasons, wish him nothing but the best for the future. #UTMP blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sport…

Provides an idea of what it must have been like watching Denis Law play for Town 😀

I'm all for teams wearing their first-choice kit whenever possible, but Cardiff might have been better going with their change colours here 😀
Goals in back-to-back games for Mathias! 🇩🇰

Spurs' great captain, Danny Blanchflower, born 100 yrs ago today. Tonight, we'd do well to recall his words: "The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom". #COYS

Remembering the Munich Air Disaster on this day 1958. 23 died - Man Utd's Busby Babes, officials, journalists. 21 survived. The last rites were read twice for Matt Busby, Man U manager and ex-City player. He survived. The whole city mourned.

Man Utd 🤝 Huddersfield Town - big club underachieving - appoint a new manager before a home derby at Saturday lunch time - win 3 in a row with their new manager - third game win 3-2 late on having surrendered a 2-0 lead

RIP Terry Yorath. A great football man with wonderful Welsh spirit & sense of humour. Even though he played for Leeds, he's a treasure round these parts for his part in Huddersfield Town & Peter Jackson's 1998 'Great Escape'. Here are the out-takes from my club video. @htafc

Significant involvement at three West Riding clubs, Town, Bradford City and Leeds, among others.
Leeds and Wales legend Terry Yorath has passed away, aged 75. The BBC sends its condolences to all the family, including his daughter Gabby Logan.

What a chairman 😀
Fantastic Saint & Greavsie feature from 1991, looking at Cowdenbeath’s chairman Gordon McDougall, who would take on every job imaginable on matchdays. I loved these stories the S&G team used to put together about smaller clubs, with the brilliant @gabrielclarke05 on the ground.

👏
I know this won’t be the main story in Scottish football tonight. But Stephen Robinson, St Mirren manager, is beyond dispute the most under-rated manager in Scottish football. He has worked wonders at St Mirren, and now has a supreme cup triumph. A brilliant day for the Buddies.
