Well that's done, the end of an era, my last day of work for a company I've been with for over 11 years. Drinks tonight then week off before the start of a new chapter in my career.
The demo is almost complete, I have a theme, some algorithmic graphics, music (thanks @MSGS_Wavetable!) and now just waiting on some artwork from the daughter to complete the package. Just hope it comes together in time for the deadline
Been working on a demo for @fx_field and quite enjoying getting more familiar with 2D canvas drawing. Biggest challenge now will be trying to track a tune to go with it which I haven't done for about 20 years.
Depressing stats on GCSE Computer Science by gender in Wales, females make up just 14% of candidates or 2.45 per school, no wonder my daughter doesn't know any other girls taking the subject βΉοΈ
My daughter has picked Computer Science as one of her GCSE options π, now I'm in a rabbit hole of actually looking at what they teach and what the difference between the English and Welsh GCSE is
In Wales object-oriented methodology is taught and markup / declarative using HTML. The choice of accepted languages is weird, apparently DOS-era QBasic and old school Pascal are still submissible π
I will look into this further but my initial take is @Raspberry_Pi will have quite a chunk of extra work to cover WJEC / Welsh GCSE Computer Science needs in addition to the English GCSE. Is this going to be covered by the Issac platform @philipcolligan?
