The conditionality of welfare causes suicide. We must have Unconditional Basic Income! #ubi

Neither #ALP or #LNP has a clue. If you can't afford a house on the sallary of a chef; why in the hell would you be a chef? When you reward rent seekers more than workers surprise surprise people will be demoralized. youtu.be/kPcgvffmaes

We have a government too invested in fossil fuels and denial to fight Climate Change. And an opposition too scared to fight Climate Change. Fighting Climate Change is a fundamental objective of the Progressives. And we will never shy away from this fight. #AusPol

This is the way.
People's basic needs shouldn't be tied to a job. This is the US model of healthcare, but it applies equally to minimum or living wages. Government should be the body for providing the basic needs of citizens (UBI). Work for pay then becomes a negotiation between two free parties.

When I had COVID-19, I could barely breathe. My friend @DrDooleyMD called to check on me, heard me struggling to speak, and said she was calling an ambulance. I begged her not to because I couldn’t afford it. Nobody should have to make that decision. We need Medicare for All.

"If you love someone, set them free." To me this embodies the spirit of the recently voted platform changes for the @AusProgressives. #auspol
It's official. The Australian Progressives officially support a #UBI. Join the party now and let's make this policy a reality together.
The Party has voted to adopt a policy in support of a Universal Basic Income. #APNatCon2020

Yes I signed. #newcorpse is a plague on society. ... mind you this could also be a bot. So...
So News Corp are saying foreign "bots" signed the petition calling for an inquiry into media ownership. They want to convince the World we don't exist. So here's an idea, if you signed the petition, retweet this. Prove you are real.
We can't afford 4 more years of the Emperror of the Galactic Republic. So vote passionately for Darth Vader! Don't vote for Princess Leia that would be a wasted vote.

I’ll second that AND BE SHOUTY ABOUT IT cos I’m a member of a not so elite group of #crediblewomen
I am reliably informed the PM's office is claiming "no one credible" is making the argument that the budget and economic security statement didn't deliver for women. Happy to add my name to the list of incredible #crediblewomen making precisely that point!

#BasicIncome is not a handout. It's your share of an economy that you are invested into.

Australia can compete in the manufacturing space - the advanced manufacturing space. Advanced manufacturing requires advanced thinking. Advanced thinking requires education you can “afford” Gov will fund what it sees as valuable. Note Labor took $3b from the University sector too

Breaking: A member of the Breonna Taylor grand jury just filed a remarkable motion asking a judge to release the entire proceedings of the grand jury. The motion strongly suggests that Attorney General Cameron's public comments contradict what was presented to the grand jury.

Sweden’s economy fell 8.3 per cent in June quarter, compared with Australia’s drop of 7 per cent. Sweden's rate of deaths per million people is 576.62 compared with Australia’s rate of 34.37. That means...a death rate more than 16 times that of Australia. abc.net.au/news/2020-09-25/c…
