The ETS chapter confirms that our industrial policy is essentially controlled by the EU. Energy costs out of control, and businesses are leaving the UK because of them. Now we can't do anything to cut them. The EU is about to expand its own ETS policy as well.

The section on illegal immigration, which our government will spin as a win, is yet more smoke and mirrors. It is all magical thinking, as no EU country has successfully started deporting illegal immigrants. Will the EU stop France pushing people over the channel? Doubt it.
