❗️ Critical Incident Declared at Nottingham University Hospitals ❗️ We have declared a Critical Incident as a result of an IT failure in our Pathology service. This affects the time it takes to process blood test results, and impacts hospital services and primary care. Patients with blood testing appointments at City and QMC are being asked not to attend. Hear from Dr Mark Simmonds, Deputy Medical Director on what this critical incident means for you 👇 Updates will be posted on our website - 🔗 nuh.nhs.uk/latest-news/patho…

Been great seeing so many people as part of the Nottinghamshire LMC @NottsLMC delegation to the #uklmc22 UK LMC Conference. So much passion for general practice and determination to do what is right for GPs, their practices and patients.

LMCs can be stronger together. Our LMC Support Network is a move to provide peer support/sharing of ideas and resources and it’s open to all LMCs to join. #UKLMC22 @BMA_GP

National Association of LMCs? Not against the idea for support but not to represent LMCs. Need to stand strong with @BMA_GP

No more Mr Nice Guy, meet Professor Angry Bird. While it may be the paper cut of unconscious gender bias, untitling still stings just the same. So I will be sending more email replies like this from now on.

COVID testing has changed from today... If you don't have symptoms, but test positive on a lateral flow test, you will no longer need a PCR to confirm results. You will just need to self-isolate. If you have symptoms, you still need to isolate and book a PCR test.

A plea from this GP… If you have a new cough (even if it’s mild), please get a PCR test. We cannot rely on lateral flow tests to rule out covid as a cause of your symptoms. 🙏 #teamGP

#covidvariant #COVID19 Please get boosted if you haven’t already, and support others to be vaccinated too. Encourage face mask wearing and continue to follow Hands, Face, Space. Keep testing and isolating for symptomatic individuals. Keep safe 🙏🏽

Very sensible @DrJenML highlighting pitfalls of "mandatory Advice & Guidance" stipulated by some #NHS trusts prior to referral Crude method to shift unfunded work from secondary to primary care & inevitably delay or block referrals for our patients @BMA_GP pulsetoday.co.uk/news/breaki…

I was initially quite nervous to have the vaccine whilst pregnant, however staff at the vaccination centre were amazing. I know I've made the right decision in being vaccinated to help protect both me and my growing baby and keep us safe #VaccinesSaveLives
