I'm a 54 year old writer and researcher, specializing in the 1912 Titanic disaster, ghosts and a few other niche subjects, like tinkering with computers.
A day of mixed fortunes. My wife had her last chemo session of this cycle today.
And I had some encouraging news about my London research trip.
Both of these news fragments have made my stomach churn in both anticipation and excitement.
If you're interested an interview I did last year for the Beastly History channel on Fred Fleet and the Titanic is now up:

Our plans for a riverside picnic is off as my wife has reacted badly to the new chemotherapy drugs. I don't know how she's coping, I'm very proud of her.
April marks the 114th anniversary of the Titanic disaster. There aren't many ghost stories associated with the disaster, but this story of precognition is one of my favourites.

Unfortunately I didn't find the important issue of The News of The World (see last week), but I'm sure its not between 1978-81. I did find interesting articles like this one, dated to less than 3 weeks after Elvis died. I didn't have time to linger. (See comments)
News of the World is a treasure trove of untouched paranormal articles, probably because its lurid contents puts people off. But for the issues I focussed on, there wasn't much sleaze, scandal or sex. In fact, it was almost respectable. It becomes a scandal rag soon after.
