I drank 4.6 liters of water on this ruck.

My reward for my overnight 20 mile ruck is the worst blister I've ever had. It was so warm and humid (85 F at midnight) that my socks were soaked less than six miles in, and I didn't bring any extras. Lesson learned.

In all my time on this platform, the one demographic I’ve found to be the most consistently unwell are average people who have made politics the center of their identity.

It’s not just music. It’s 90Β° blind turns and too many options and LED lighting and constant notifications and ubiquitous surveillance and the smell of car exhaust and pervasive manipulative marketing and so many other things. Modernity feels designed to keep us low-key on edge.
I have come to loathe that there has to be music playing everywhere at all times. I firmly believe that it's unhealthy mentally for the average person to listen to music for more than short periods of time but we're being blasted with it nonstop.

The greatest tool for sanctification is not sin but sanctified people. Desire to be like Christ should drive us. The NT teaches that acting like Christ has a sanctifying effect on others. My wife’s Christ-like behavior had a far greater sanctifying influence on me than her sins.
Paul Washer with some absolute HEAT on the complexities of marriage. I love his honesty here: "Marriage is the greatest instrument of sanctification. How would you ever learn unconditional love if you were married to someone who met all the conditions? How would you ever learn mercy, patience, long-suffering, heart-felt compassion if you were married to someone who never failed you? Who is never difficult with you? Who never sinned against you? Who is never slow to acknowledge their sin or ask for forgiveness? How would you ever learn grace, to pour out your favor on someone who did not deserve it, if you were married to someone who was always deserving of all good things? The main purpose of marriage is that through your marriage, you both become conformed to the image of Jesus Christ."

Contra the illustration, it’s rather difficult to behave depravedly when one is seated in a comfortable chair with a beer and a pipe. πŸ˜‡
How do Calvinists describe total depravity and unconditional election to their children?

What I saw vs what I painted Original drawing was by my son, but I mistook its rock shell for some kind of shawl.

Two Windows features I desperately want on iOS: 1: Background / seamless clipboard history 2: When a word or sentence is highlighted, tapping the Shift key (⬆️) cycles through [first letter of each word capped], [all letters capped], [no letters capped].
Paste the thing you copied 3 copies ago. Press Windows key V to view your clipboard πŸ“‹ history:

Good. I tried the new OS a few weeks ago and it felt like it was literally flashing at me when I interacted with it. Incredibly annoying. Thankfully I was able to disable most of the effects.
iOS 27 removes the specular highlights that dynamically react to movement on the Home Screen and Control Center.

Journaling is a secret super-power for spiritual discipline, personal growth, and mental health.
Do you regularly journal? The Psalms, prophets, and apostles repeatedly call us to remember, meditate, examine, confess, and give thanks. Writing helps us do that. Journaling helps turn Scripture reading into meditation and meditation into communion with Christ. Join me this summer as we journal through the Psalms forms.gle/uiKFpowC4e1rMVFu8
