Journal entry for this week. I seem to be marking the passage of time by wildflowers blooming.

The government’s new Planning Bill is nothing short of a death sentence for badgers. 👉 Part 6 will rip up the Protection of Badgers Act 1992 — a law that has safeguarded these animals and their setts for more than 30 years. 👉 If this Bill passes, developers will have the legal power to kill badgers if they’re seen as an obstacle to building projects. 👉 Decades of hard-won protection will be torn away in the name of “progress”, handing wildlife over to bulldozers. We cannot let this become law. Badgers don’t have a voice in Parliament, but you do. 📢 Use our quick tool to email your MP and demand they scrap the Bill: protectthewild.org.uk/stop-t…

There are still lots of late born hoglets being seen out in the day. Please remember these little babies are sick. They are starting to die so have come out in the day as their failing bodies become hypothermic. No amount of warmth, love, or food will fix them. They need medicines and experienced nursing from a knowledgeable rescue (never a vet). They may seem to pick up once warmed and fed, but whatever was killing them and sent them out in the day, is still killing them. Ironically it's their sweet looks and gentle nature that leads to them being kept. And every minute of delay reduces their chance of survival, even when finally in the very best rescue. They would be so much safer if they were ugly. Please do the right thing - put their needs first and be their ambulance.

We are shocked, that Brittany Ferries are continuing to transport live animals again. These innocent beings still have the sucking reflex and without the possibilities to be suitably fed on such long trips, they suffer greatly 💔. Urge them to stop➡️ bit.ly/42n42aW

I spent the weekend in Delhi, India. 1 million street dogs are under severe threat. I’ve never seen a story like this. I didn’t think it was possible in the modern world. The world needs to see this… (1/10) 🧵
